LacPatrick Dairies was one of the big winners at the 2018 Made in Northern Ireland awards.
LacPatrick took home the prestigious award in the export category for the performance of the co-op’s Artigarvan, Co Tyrone site.
LacPatrick held off competition from companies in the pharmaceutical, beverage and information technology sectors.
High-quality powders are produced at Artigarvan which are then exported to the four corners of the globe. LacPatrick’s LP powder brand is also produced at Artigarvan which is then exported to west Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. In fact, LP is the market leading powder brand in the west Africa region.
The Made in Northern Ireland awards recognise and reward manufacturing companies based in Northern Ireland that have demonstrated success in innovation, product development and growth in either domestic or overseas markets. The awards took place in Belfast on Friday 11 May.

‘Commitment to excellence’

Commenting on the award, Enda Gallen LacPatrick’s International Commercial Manager paid tribute to the LacPatrick staff.
“We entered the awards based on the fantastic growth in exports from the Artigarvan site and it is great news to have won the award. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication and skill of everyone involved in all aspects of the business.

“The LacPatrick staff show continued commitment to excellence which ensures that the products we export are top quality and are universally recognised among businesses and consumers as being of the highest standards,” Gallen said.
