As a result of the merger, new geographical areas have been drawn up for the team of Farm Liaison Officers.
John Nelson, who has 25 years’ experience in the dairy industry covers the Armagh, Down Fermanagh areas.
Ivan Dunn, who also has 25 years’ experience, looks after suppliers in Tyrone, Antrim and Londonderry.
Finally Pat Meehan, with experience of over 30 years will look after suppliers south of the border, in Cavan and Monaghan.
Dr. Paul Crosson, Group Technical Support Manager. Paul has been a highly respected research scientist with Teagasc in Grange for the last ten years. His new role with LacPatrick starting in September will have a strong focus on enterprise viability, farm and customer assurance and the sustainable development of dairying throughout the Co-op heartland.
Dean O’Neill has recently moved to a new role in the Farm Support Team having worked previously on milk intake at the Monaghan site. Dean is a graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology and Ballyhaise Agricultural College with a honours degree in Sustainable Agricultural Science. During this course he spent eight weeks on work placement in Town of Monaghan Co-op. Dean then joined the company on a permanent basis in May 2016 where he was milk intake supervisor on the Monaghan site. Since he joined the business as milk intake supervisor he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the operations and production side of the business. In this role, Dean worked very closely with the LacPatrick Quality Assurance team on the Monaghan site, preparing for detailed audits from our biggest customers. This have provided Dean with a strong awareness of the requirements sought out by the customers around milk quality at farm level.
Dean has now moved to the role of Farm Development Advisor where he will work closely with the Farm Support Team. Given the critical importance of quality assurance for our milk pool, Dean will initially focus on assisting our ROI suppliers achieve certification to the Bord Bia Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme (SDAS).

Jennifer Prue is Milk Procurement Quality Manager, based at the Artigarvan site and has 15 years’ experience in this field. She oversees all aspects of milk quality, working closely with the FLO team, and when appropriate, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Quality Managers within each of our 3 sites. She also organises LacPatrick’s attendance at key events, and manages the production of the monthly LacPatrick newsletter for suppliers.
